The film was released in November 2011. Butler as well as Estella Warren started filming the psychological thriller The Stranger Within in Mallorca the Spanish island of Mallorca. The film was also scheduled for shooting in Copenhagen Denmark and New York City.She became part of the independent feature Treachery featuring Michael Biehn which began filming in Los Angeles in June 2012. Butler was in The Demented (2013), which was directed by Michael Welch with Kayla and Michael Welch.
